Our purpose

About AirCon Local

We close the gap between people struggling in hot homes and the air conditioning businesses able to help them.

Air-conditioning installation can be surprisingly difficult to research in the UK. Search results mix product retailers, national lead-generation companies, repair businesses and installers who do not take domestic work.

We built AirCon Local to make the first step simple: enter a postcode, see relevant businesses, understand what information has been checked, and contact the installer directly. The directory currently contains 500 published listings across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

How the directory is researched

We use public business information and require a live first-party website before adding a company through our research workflow. A source URL and review date are retained for every listing. Where a profile says “F-Gas evidence checked”, we also reviewed current certification evidence; the customer should still confirm the qualification that applies to their job.

Our principles

  • Contact details should not be hidden behind an account or quotation form.
  • Verification labels should have specific meanings.
  • Businesses should be able to claim, correct or remove their information.
  • Search pages should help people, not exist merely to attract search-engine traffic.
  • Paid placement, if introduced, must always be clearly marked.

What we are not

AirCon Local is a directory, not an installer, certification body or contracting party. Customers must check qualifications, insurance, scope, pricing and suitability directly with the business they choose.

Corrections and editorial accountability

Every profile includes its source and last-reviewed date. Installers and customers can submit a correction, and our listing methodology explains each status. We do not publish copied reviews or imply that a public listing is a recommendation.
